Apparently not, or else all action would appear to be uber-top-secret with an encryption level as high as a magic-marker.

Actually, we're not doing colors this time around, partly for that reason and partly because last time it caused a lot of confusion.

If you want them to be. I do it.
The only think I ask is that you use OOC: to signify the start of an OOC portion of your post.

General Armii = General General-polkovnik = Lieutenant General General-leitenant = Major General General-major = Brigadier General Polkovnik = Colonel Podpolkovnik = Lieutenant Colonel Major = Major Kapitan = Captain Starshiy Leitenant = 1st Lieutenant Leitenant = 2nd Lieutenant Praporschik Starshina = Master Sergeant Starshiy serzhant = Technical Sergeant Serzhant = Staff Sergeant Mladshiy serzhant = Sergeant Efreitor = Corporal Ryadovoy = Private Kursant = Cadet
If we're keeping the same ranks, I'm a Starshiy Leitenant. Will we be culturally correct and use the Russian spelling (even though we don't use the same alphabet) I like the Russian spelling

Where'd you find those ranks? The ones that came up on Wikipedia were significantly different...
Since it's on a smaller scale, some ranks will be changed. Yours will remain the same, at least for now.
