The sniper is a critical part of modern warfare. Single snipers have held up the advance of entire companies. And the sniper, by targeting officers and unwary soldiers, has more effect on morale than the worst shelling.
After you've completed this training, you will be qualified to use the sniper rifles. You'll either act as a true sniper, working either alone or with a spotter, or as a sharpshooter, moving with an infantry squad.
Scenario 1 There are twenty targets on the range in front of you. The closest is 150 yards, the most distant at 300. You have 20 round of ammunition. Take the targets out.
Scenario 2 You are in a large, simulated town. Find a sniper's nest and prepare yourself. You must hold the town from an infantry platoon. Two squads will advance from the north, another from the east, and another from the west. Each squad is made up of twelve men. You have 60 rounds of ammo, so make them count.
Scenario 3 You have been assigned to an infantry squad. The squad is advancing on a German machine gun nest. Get in a position to support the squad, then help them take the nest. After that, hold the area against any German patrols that show up.

Misha walked on and checked the range that had been set up for him to snipe at. He picked a Mosin Nagant which was loaded with a scope whcih allowed it for deadly accuaracy. He was already wanting to be a rifleman, but some sniper training wouldn't hurt.
This shouldn't be too hard..
He loaded 5 bullets into its clip and took aim. He got the first target in his sights and fired off. It took a few seconds of pulling the trigger for the shot to be released. It had struck its target.
That wasn't to hard...
He quickly reloaded and fired again. He fired three more shots at the targets then reloaded his weapon. He went croutched and continued his sniping. He fired off again a few times the had to reload his weapon yet again.
This is getting pretty easy... I hope it stays that way..
He fired off some more shots and saw that only two shots remained. Sweat trickled down his face as he took aim and shot at the target. It blew off in an instant.
Ok.. Only one more...
He clicked on the scope and saw the last remaining target in his sights. He saw it and pressed the trigger with all he had. In a few seconds the bullet came flying at the target and blasted it in the center. Misha saluted and examined the targets to see how he did. He was so sbsorbed in each shot he didn't pay attention to good he shot them. He gladly saw he had shot off all the targets with good accuarcy. He waited silently for what the training offcier had to saw with his training.

OOC: I am assuming that i need to complete all 3 scenarios one by one and pass each individual one?
IC:
Vanya was pointing the barrel of his gun in the direction of the first target. This situation brought him painful memories of his childhood, his father and him hunting in Siberia, the first deer he killed, then NKVD coming during the night to take his father away and then fire, his old life burning, his soul dying, his mind being reborn. He pulled the trigger. He hit, the pain of past loss was now accumulating in his chest, he was a good shooter, his father taught him how to be a good shooter. He pulled the trigger again. Another target went down making a cloud of dust rise above the ground. Vanya focused on the next one, he took a little longer time to aim but the target went down. His body was itching in several places from lying in an uncomfortable position, he made every effort to keep his hands from shaking. Another shot, another hit, one less bullet. It was followed by another shot, and another one, then finally there was no more bullets left. "Vse."

Hmmm, althought the attempt to add drama to this post is appreciated, it could still use a bit more detail. More about the actaul shooting.
Modify it a bit more. Take more time with it.

I would say that the edited version of the snipers training is better, and I'll pass it (if Comrade General Vostrikov objects, then his word will be final).

Scenario 2 Vanya tried to remain calm, his mind was searching for a place to hide. He looked around:
"An appartment building would be nice, they all look the same, i get on top of the roof, find a good position, those bastards will be chasing my echo, they will never find me."
He saw an appartment building that suited his taste, it was the same height as the others almost impossible to recognize, Ivan decided to check it out. He got in through the door and climbed the stairs through 9 floors onto the roof. His instinct paid off. He look around, there was plenty of holes in the crumbled wall that rose half a meter higher then the flat roof level. Vanya found one in which he could fit his barrel and crouched down near it. While waiting for his targets to arrive he picked up some dirt from the ground and rubbed the barrel of his gun as well as his belt buckle with it, he didn't need any shining metal giving away his position. Finally he heard noises and looked down, one of the squads was advancing from the north, Vanya could see them going through an opening between two appartment buildings placed parallel each other, the squad was moving right past the opening, a few more minutes and they'd be gone. Vanya had to think fast if he was going to shoot anyone from this postion. He looked through his scope, looking for an officerial hat to aim at. He found it, a young officer was moving on the left side of his troops that were trying to move in a scattered formation. Something didn't seem right, Vanya adjasted his scope and looked at the officer's shoulders, there were no signs of rank, this was a ryadovoi.
"Try to trick me."
Vanya grinned, he looked over the group again and spotted his man. He looked a bit older then the others ,well fed, with two pads on his shoulders showing his officerial rank, he was also weaing a standard issue helmet, however Vanya could see his jaw very clearly.
"Here you are."
Vanya aimed for the neck and pulled the trigger. The sound of the shot reflected of the walls of apartment buildings making it impossible for anyone on the street to track the origin. The officer fell. All the other soldiers attempted to scatter, now leaderless they could do nothing else. It was now officially a turkey shoot. desperately trying to look for cover one of the soldiers ran to the nearby tree. He leaned against it thinking that he is safe, but Vanya could see him, a second later and the unforunate bastard was down on the ground. One of the other soldiers tried to assume a leadership role he yelled something to the others that seemed like orders, two of the soldiers seemed to follow running in the direction their newly founded leader pointed them to. Another shot and the leader went down with a hole in his chest, all the others fell on the ground covering their heads. They didn't know there Vanya was shooting from, it was a massacre. Nine bullets later Vanya was done.
"It would be nice to go down there and grab one of those uniforms."
Vanya thought as he reloaded his rifle, but the sound of a douzen men running made him change his point of view.
These guys weren't as smart, their officer was infront of his men who were running in a column formation.
They came from the same direction as the previous group, probably heard the gunshots, their commander was stupid enough to try and help his "comrades".
"You wanna catch a bullet with your stomach? Eh ma... Fritzie."
Ivan pulled the trigger, the officer fell, this squad didn't have any heroes, once their officer was down they ran in the direction opposite of the sniper.
"Chert! They know there i am."
He shot a couple of them as they were running and then ran himself, it won't be another 20 minutes until those guys calm down and come after him, however now leaderless and 3 men short Ivan considered them stopped, he had 3 other squads to worry about and less bullets then he would have liked. He ran down the stairs and east. He knew there was only one squad there, but they probably already moved in, he had to think fast. He ran forward towards the sewers entrance. He jumped in and ran through the narrow passage until a sound of men marching stopped him in his tracks. He raised his head and saw the ceiling of the sewer tremble, somebody was steadily marching right on top of him. Vanya stopped to think for a second.
"Okay i am here, they are right on top of me, there is a square, its open, the sewer leads into a basement of one of the buildings on the right side of the square. Otlichno."
Five minutes later Vanya was running through the sewers with water up to his knees. He saw an opening in the side of the wall, it looked like the wall was blown apart with explosives. Vanya got in, he was in a dark, cold basement, he could see a line of light coming out of a door in the far left corner of the room. He opened the door and went up a single stairs. He was in a single room appartment on the first floor, he follower the hallway to the stairs that took him another two floors up, he kicked the closest door open and ran inside, he saw a window and through it a squad that was marching in the further end of the square. They were almost gone, he had no time to look for the officer, he shot at the first soldier he saw, the man fell, the others fell on the ground trying to find cover.
This time Vanya decided to go with fear, he didn't take time to aim but fired an array of shots, 3 of them missed, 2 killed their target and another one caused a shoulder wound. Vanya continued firing, missing most of the time. Finally he got what he wanted, the remaining 4 soldiers got up and lifted their guns above their heads surrendering. It took Ivan four bullets to put them down, he was only one man he couldn't handle POWs.
It was time to change his position again, he ran back into the sewer and followed the southern passage. He got out of the sewer entrance in the middle of the street and ran forward. Infront of him was his jackpot, the radio tower. The best position he could think off, it was a pefect spot, from it he could look anythere in the southern part of the town with almost no obstacles. He proceeded to rapidly climbing the tower until he reached the small platform on top. He then looked around, he had a 360 degree view. Almost immediately he saw both squads they were coming around the same building from right and left on their sides there was empty space. Their were on the plate right infront of him. Ivan looked through his scope.
What followed next was an array of almost mechanical moves, pull, reload, pull, reload, pull...until there was no one left standing. Vanya acted systematically first killing those closest to the appartment building, those who could attempt to hide. Finally the last one fell.
Vanya took a deep breath.

Scenario 3 You have been assigned to an infantry squad. The squad is advancing on a German machine gun nest. Get in a position to support the squad, then help them take the nest. After that, hold the area against any German patrols that show up.
Ivan has heard the "URA!" cry and saw his comrades take off, he stayed back, his job was of a less messy sort.
"I got 10 seconds before the guys start dying"
He raised his sniper rifle out of the trench he was sitting in and looked into the scope, he saw the nest. There were three Germans, Vanya had no worries. He aimed for the head of the machine gun operator, he slowly pulled the triger and the unfortunate Fritz got a brand new hole on his head. Ivan reloaded the weapon and changed changed his aim, this time going for the back operator who was reaching for the machine gun. A shot, a hit, and a dead German, it was a classic story. There was only last one dead, Ivan took him out with a shot in the chest. And then he heard the battle cry that erupted in a single roar coming out of a douzen throats all at once.
"URA!!! ZA RODINU!!!! ZA STALINA!!! URA!!!!"
The nest was taken, Ivan quickly ran to it to gain a position. The machine gun was turned around, the sand bags protecting the nest were relaid to protect it. Thats then the Fritses started coming. Ivan's job was simple, he had a sniper rifle, a machine gun nest, and a douzen soldiers on his side, Germans had non of that. He shot, he killed, he reloaded, he shot again and then it all suddenly ended in smoke and a cascade of machine gun fire, non of the Nazis were left alive.
